My Own Private Movie

Each one in the audience hears different “soundtracks” of the piece, through small MP3 players. The content of these soundtracks varies between the spoken word, music, and simple instructions for some of the public to participate in the performance. This makes it an active and not passive experience.
The piece speaks about memories and feelings, and the underlying current is based on the idea of the collective isolation that exists in our semi-virtual society (more virtual than not), where there is more connection through social networks than in person, where there is no time, where we need to isolate and distract ourselves with the ipod-iphone-i … and where our protests seem to remain in this virtual bubble; it seems that we scream our outrage into a vacuum.
